6+ | Sight and Sound

Instructions

Gently shake or tap a noisemaker and watch your baby’s attention and gaze shift toward the sound. Watch your baby track the sound and the object as you move the noisemaker around their body.

The Science

In this activity, your baby is exposed to visual and auditory stimuli as they track the location of the noisemaker using both these senses. By pairing these stimuli with one another, your baby is integrating neural networks, deepening connections throughout the brain.
