24+ | The Narrow Path
Instructions
Using something found at home (like string, ribbon, or even towels), create a narrow pathway for your baby to walk along. Consider adding music as an additional sensory element. When they get to one end, encourage your little one to turn around and walk back. Next, hand them a ball and see if your toddler can walk the same path while holding the ball above their head. Make it fun and even silly, repeating this with different objects or creating different obstacles throughout the path!
The Science
This exercise helps your child strengthen their gross motor skills, balance, and self-confidence. Neuronal connections are strengthened with each novel experience your little one has!
