24+ | Putty Play
Instructions
Using any kind of play dough or putty available to you, place small (but safe) objects inside the putty and let baby use his fingers and muscles to discover the objects within. Ask your child to guess what they think is inside as they explore.
The Science
This exercise can help strengthen the small hand muscles that support fine motor skills in young children. By hiding objects, you are engaging your child's curious mind, and they are building new connections in the brain as they process sensory information through touch, vision, and even smell!
