Using whatever you have on hand--such as a swaddle or large piece of clothing--cover your face so you are out of your baby’s view. Spark your baby’s curiosity as you ask, “Where am I?” After your baby finds you, switch roles, quickly covering and uncovering your little one. Connect throughout this exercise.

The Science

This game helps pique your baby’s curiosity and stimulates a sense of joy. Curiosity is a characteristic that builds upon itself. That is, when children are curious, they seek out new experiences and discoveries, which prompts them to feel a deeper curiosity and wonder about the world around them.
