12+ | Palms Up
Instructions
Have your baby show you their hands, palms facing up. Gently, simultaneously brush each hand with a different texture. Repeat, switching sides each time (try doing this three to four times if you can).
The Science
This exercise helps strengthen visual-motor coordination. Not only is visual-motor coordination important as your baby learns to walk or draw, but it also underlies aspects of their social health. Developing this skill can help your child connect and empathize with others as they get older.
