Hide and seek is a classic children’s game. Allow your child to hide any place they choose -- for young toddlers it may be partially in your view. Seek out your little one, engaging in pretend puzzlement about where they may be hiding.

The Science

A game of hide and seek supports your little one’s growth in many ways. As your toddler hides, they are able to direct the flow of the game, through which they are developing their sense of autonomy, confidence, and cleverness. And, when you find them, they are experiencing a moment of delightful social connection with a loved caregiver.
